We're hosting another fabulous fundraiser in store this weekend! Join us from noon to 3pm on Sunday to benefit the Guild of St. Agnes, a non-profit childcare provider serving Worcester county. They'll be special guest vendors, raffles, gorgeous holiday shopping, refreshments, and more!
It's our One Year Anniversary, and we want you to join us to celebrate! On Friday November 14th join us in store from 5pm to mark our first year in business with plenty of treats for everyone.
In addition to our usual fantastic shopping experience in store, we've invited some friends to join the party!
As if that's not enough we'll have raffles for fantastic prizes, the proceeds from which (along with a percentage of all store sales for the evening) will go to support the fantastic work of the Autism Research Center of Central Massachusetts, and Diamond Is The Sky.
Autism is something which has personal resonance for more than one of the team at The Hidden Jewel, and so we're incredibly proud to be able to give something back to organisations that help so many families like ours. You can find out more about the work of the Autism Resource Center by clicking here to head over to their website.
Diamond Is The Sky starts as "the journey of an autism dad", but goes so very far beyond that. Diamond In The Sky is also a non-profit, and to use their own words, "The mission of Diamond Is The Sky is to provide affordable social opportunities and resources to people with special needs and their families, educators, and greater communities in the state of Massachusetts." You can find out more by heading over to their Facebook page here.
And finally, throughout the month of November we are collecting your donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the Worcester County Food Bank. 1 in 6 of the U.S. population (and 1 in 5 children) experience hunger and food insecurity. In 2012 Worcester County Food Bank, and it's network of food pantries, provided food assistance to 12% of the population; nearly 100,000 people. Food insecurity is not having consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy lifestyle, and it's a very real problem right here in our neighborhoods and communities. Find out more about hunger in Worcester County here, and you can find out more about Worcester County Food Bank through their website here. Should you need further incentive to help, your donations to our food drive now through November 25th will earn you 15% off your next purchase in store.
